Due to weekend quarantine on weekdays in shopping centers hype

According to IA "Interfax-Ukraine", after the introduction of a weekend lockdown, shopping and entertainment centers recorded a traffic increase of up to 20% on Friday and Monday.

Roman Yemets, director of the Dream Town mall in the capital, said in a comment to the agency that the increase in visitor traffic on Friday 13 November and Monday 16 November was about 20%. “But it's too early to draw conclusions. You need to see it all week at least, ”Roman Yemets said.

According to Dragon Capital Property Management, the real estate management company of the Dragon Capital investment company (SEC Aladdin, Piramida and Smart Plaza Obolon in Kiev, Victoria Gardens in Lviv and SkyPark in Vinnitsa), traffic fell by 50% over the weekend after the announcement of quarantine and was formed only through the work of government-authorized shops and institutions. At the same time, on weekdays, customer traffic increased by 5-10%.

After the introduction of weekend quarantine in Ukraine, some shopping and entertainment centers changed the work schedule, extending the working hours on weekdays.

For example, SEC Dream Town (Kiev), SEC Lubava (Cherkasy), SEC Gulliver (Kiev), SEC Lavina Mall (Kiev) have extended the opening hours on weekdays by one hour - until 23:00.

As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced a number of quarantine restrictions, in particular, it banned the reception of visitors to the mall and other entertainment venues from 00:00 Saturday to 00:00 Monday from November 14 to 30.
