Description
Stanford is divided into several sections along the plot’s perimeter forming an enclosed inner courtyard. Sections are of different height, which improves insolation and helps avoid the well effect in the courtyard. The inner part of the complex will be car free with landscaped lounge areas and children’s playgrounds. Complex’s design heavily references mid-20th century American architecture of with its massive forms, simple facade lines, and restraint decorative elements. Stanford’s walls a covered by a system of ventilated facades with ceramic granite slabs. Ventilated facades help protect the walls from overheating in summer and keep them warm in winter.
